We believe a home should be:

  • Where each person is an individual
  • Where there are no unnecessary rules and regulations
  • Where dignity, peace and comfort take priority
  • Where companionship, interest and activity flourishes.
  • And where people are supported to lead the fullest possible lives

Welcome to The Herons Park Nursing Home

CQC Overall Rating: Good
January 2016

Herons Park Nursing Home is set in the quiet parkland of Spennels Wood, only 5 minutes drive from Kidderminster town, in the Wyre Forest district of Worcestershire county. It is surrounded by formal gardens, patio areas, and resident tended raised garden beds for wheelchair clients.

With a team of committed healthcare staff, the Home's Registered Manager, Janet Galloway, focuses on providing high quality care whilst maintaining a friendly, relaxed atsmophere. The Home enjoys a range of activities, entertainers and days out to local attractions organised by their dedicated Activities Coordinator.

Herons Park was acquired by the present owners in 2006 and has benefitted from continued refurbishment and conforms to all standards and regulations under the Care Standards Act, regulated by the Care Quality Comission (CQC).

In 2011, construction was finished on Herons Parks Dedicated Dementia Unit. Designed and built in consultation with the Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC) based at the University of Stirling. The dementia unit later gained their gold accreditation from the DSDC for achieving their standards for design that help create the best environment for dementia clients.

Herons Park is a friendly, top quality care home for elderly residents, dementia care residents and respite care. Most of our residents come from or have family in the surrounding areas of Worcester, Droitwich, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Stourbridge, Bridgnorth & Kidderminster.
