We believe a home should be:

  • Where each person is an individual
  • Where there are no unnecessary rules and regulations
  • Where dignity, peace and comfort take priority
  • Where companionship, interest and activity flourishes.
  • And where people are supported to lead the fullest possible lives

Accommodation and Vacancies

Accommodation is mostly en-suite with some larger companion rooms available. The home has a number of social areas, lounges and dining areas for the residents.

All meals are freshly prepared to have that home cooked taste, with the use of fresh produce whenever we can. The chef provides a regularly varied menu along with catering for special diets (diabetic, low fat etc.) The home also has excellent relations with local GP surgeries and hospitals who provide full support.

Our elderly care, dementia care & respite care vacancies will vary from time to time, so please call us or use our contact form to check availability and what we can do to help.

Respite Care

Respite Care at Heron’s Park Nursing Home is offered for dementia care and elderly care. Rather than long term care, respite care is normally short term – maybe one or two weeks or more to get over a long illness, operation or afford the usual carer a break. Our Respite Care residents are treated no differently to our long-term residents. They are welcome to join in all activities, day trips (if space is available) and enjoy our lovely gardens.

Contact us for further details on Respite Care or to book a Respite Care stay.

Lifestyle

Residents are allowed, wherever possible, to live their lives as independently as possible. They are encouraged to remain active as long as possible and participate in as many activities as they are able to manage, subject to their own limitations; likes and dislikes.

We welcome both long and short stay residents, including respite care, whether privately funded or assisted by Social Services. Any special dietary requirement is catered for.

The Home helps clients to lead their individual lifestyles whenever possible by encouraging existing and new interests and providing varied activities for those interested. Friends and family are welcomed at any time to spend time with their relative/s.
