Friendships Forged Across Generations at Herons Park Nursing Home

At Herons Park Nursing Home we recently partnered with local day nursery, Hickory Dickory Dock, to arrange for some members of the younger generation to pay us a visit.

A series of weekly visits will see groups of children coming along to our elderly care home in Kidderminster to spend time interacting with and getting to know some of our residents. The first of these visits happened earlier this month. We had five children, who attend Hickory Dickory Dock, bring their favourite toys to show our residents. Following weeks’ activities included the youngsters coming accompanied by their favourite books and an arts & crafts day.

We’re proud to arrange such worthwhile events for our residents and little visitors, with both groups reacting very positively to the activity. A number of our residents don't have many younger visitors, so they greatly appreciated the opportunity to have some enjoyable interaction with the children. Everybody here at Herons Park Nursing Home in Worcestershire are thankful to the team at Hickory Dickory Dock for their willingness to be a part of this. A big thanks to our younger guests too, for being such lovely and well-mannered visitors.
